FMP: Evidences for my narrative

These four photos are created as evidence for the narrative of my project. They tell the life of people with DASD and the role of AGGA and BOCA. People with DASD will spend all their waking hours on digital technology. They easily get tired.

AGGA is a digital companion, it will try to distract users from digital things by creating sounds or shivering, then users need to comfort this restless little thing back to ‘sleep’. Users need to pet them in the way of stroke or nuzzle, AGGA at the same time will generate the temperature of human and simulate a sense of touch like human’s hand. It will eventually draw users’ attention to their existence as humans, they have a physical form need to be taken care of. They share the same characteristics with other kinds, they belong to the human society.

BOCA is a talking bot. AS mentioned before, people with DASD is not willing to have physical contact or conversation with other humans. So BOCA is developed for them to pick up the language skill, communication skill, and social capability. BOCA is a good listener equipped with artificial intelligence, it will gather data it receives, and deliver psychotherapy based on analysis and machine learning.

All data gathered by AGGA and BOCA will be stored in storage capsule of AGGA. If the user gives up his physical form and chooses to contribute all himself to the digital world. AGGA will become a memorial avatar for his family.
